From March 4- June 11, 2023, Umbria’s National Gallery of Art in Perugia will celebrate the 500-year anniversary of Perugino’s death. A collection of Pietro Vannucci’s paintings before the year 1505 will be included in the exhibit such as some of his greatest masterpieces: The Crucifixion from the Chigi chapel in the church of Sant’Agostino in Siena, The Battle between Love and Chastity originally in Mantua and above all The Marriage of the Virgin, originally for the Chapel of the Holy Ring in Perugia Cathedral and now in the Museum of Fine Arts in Caen.
