From coast to coast. From dawn ’til dusk. It’s a ride, not a race!
In Italy, England and Scotland, it starts with the first light of dawn; we arrive a moment before sunset. There is no ranking, there are no medals. Only recognition, a memory, and the enormous satisfaction of being in the Chase the Sun Finisher community.
From coast to coast, from Cesenatico to Tirrenia, from east to west, from sunrise to sunset. On the longest day of the year. There will be 275 kilometers and 3,300 meters in altitude between you and the sunset. Chase the Sun is the most romantic long-distance cycling challenge there is. It’s a ride, not a race!
Chase the Sun is much more than a race, it’s a personal challenge. A challenge on a physical, motivational and exploratory level. A long and demanding free-ride ride across Italy from coast to coast. It starts with the sun rising from the sea behind us in Cesenatico until we arrive in Tirrenia, with the sun in front of us plunging into the sea. A beautiful and possible enterprise. Chase the Sun is the summer solstice cycling festival.
In honor of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, we will ride through Anchiano (Vinci) and birthplace of the Renaissance genius whose creativity changed the world forever.
Registration will remain open until June 8, 2019, or 275 participants.
To find out how far you can ride in one day, choose the longest day of the year: Saturday 22 June 2019
