Christmas in Palazzuolo sul Senio just outside Florence is a magical time. Imagine walking through the streets of the village and at every corner, shop window, or square coming across a nativity scene? The event is called the “One Thousand Nativities of Palazzuolo” and it is quite spectacular.
Christmas in Palazzuolo sul Senio
One of the special events that transforms Palazzuolo into a magical Christmas village is the tradition of the “One Thousand Nativities of Palazzuolo”. Wandering through the streets of the historic center, visitors will be able to admire many different representations of the classic nativity scene. Tourists will then have time until January 6, 2020, to vote for the most beautiful. On this same day, the winner will be declared.
The exhibition will begin on the day of the Immaculate Conception or December 8th. But that’s not all! On December 26th the magnificent “living” nativity scene will be added to the group!
To make the atmosphere even more magical, there will be fantastic Christmas markets that wind through the streets of the village.
During these days of celebration, in addition to stalls with decorations, gifts, etc. there will be plenty of opportunities to taste the typical winter dishes of Tuscany.
Plus music, shows, and of course, Santa!
Come experience the magic of the Season in Palazzuolo!
