The Eternal City, like much of the rest of Italy, is completely transformed during the Christmas holidays. The possibilities for Christmas in Rome are endless, especially if you are traveling with children. Winter events at the theme park Cinecittà World are also amazing, but today we will focus on one of the newest events in the Lazio region: Christmas Wonderland.
Christmas Wonderland
If you are spending your Christmas holiday in Rome and looking for something extra special to do with your children, then you won’t want to miss Christmas Wonderland. From December 20th, 2019 to January 6th, 2020 a real Christmas village will be set up where you can fully experience the magic of the holidays.
With around 5,000 square meters of surface area, Christmas Wonderland will delight everyone from the oldest to the youngest thanks to the numerous attractions, activities, and entertainment.
The Three Rooms
Each area is represented by giant presents and contains a combination of hands-on experience and technology. The Infinity Room, Jumping Room, and Painting Room all offer an interactive experience for visitors.
Santa’s House
The location will catapult visitors into a magical and enchanted world. Children will be able to meet Santa Claus and deliver their special letters.

Neon Museum and Lighted Zoo
Have you ever seen illuminated zoo animals or a museum of lights? At Christmas Wonderland in Rome you will! You’ll be amazed at the beauty and technology!
Snow Village and Ice Skating
The undisputed protagonist of winter is, without a shadow of a doubt, the snow. The “North Pole” area will be set up where you’ll be able to decorate giant snowmen. Fun for the whole family!
The ice skating rink is also covered for your comfort and illuminated with unique projections.
English Christmas Market
There will be 40 stands offering English street food as well as temporary shops where you can find many gift ideas, and the most famous and sought after brands.
Events and Shows at Christmas Wonderland
You can expect lots of entertainment on the main stage from live performances to various shows for all ages.
Christmas Wonderland Coins
Within the Village, you’ll exchange your euros for “Santa Coins” which will be utilized throughout the entire park.

Getting There
Pratibus District (Viale Angelico 52, Rome)
Being a former bus station, the best way to reach Christmas Wonderland is by public transport: by metro, get off at the Ottaviano and Lepanto station, then continue on foot (15 minutes) or by bus (5 minutes, bus 32).
