Christmas markets fascinate everyone. The atmosphere is something magical, almost surreal. Although the markets of the mountain villages and northern European countries are the most famous, the Grazzano Visconti market near Piacenza can also give you that traditional Christmas market atmosphere.

Every year, the village of Grazzano Visconti gives its visitors unforgettable Christmas weekends with its beautiful market and numerous events dedicated to both adults and children.

Grazzano Visconti is located in the province of Piacenza. It is a neo-medieval village and visiting it is like going back in time.

During the early 20th century, Duke Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone wanted to give new life to the old town. Reconstruction work began on the castle and was so appreciated that Grazzano is now visited by thousands of people every year.

The Christmas Market

During the weekends between November 16th and January 6th, 2020, the square and the streets of the village will be full of stalls with handicrafts and food and wine products, typical of the area of Piacenza. The artisans and restaurateurs will welcome you in their shops and taverns, open all year round, and will be ready to impress you with their creations.

Santa Claus’ House will excite young and old alike thanks to its magical atmosphere of lights, colors, decorations and gospel choir music. It will be an event closely linked to tradition that will warm the hearts of adults and children.

During the event, it will also be possible to taste good old-fashioned food and excellent craft beer in a large covered, heated dining area.

Santa’s house is open on Fridays from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, until December 29th.

The Ferris Wheel, Santa’s Reindeer and Santa’s Slide are open 7 days a week!
