Summer is coming! The fabulous city of Florence will host numerous concerts, like the Firenze Rocks (from June 14 to June 17), the MusArt Festival (from July 18 to July 28) and the Rockin’ 1000 that’s live, which will take place on July 21. This event was created three years ago initially as a Foo Fighters concert in Cesena. This goal was achieved with a performance of 1,000 musicians, and the Rockin’1000 became an annual event.
In 2016 there was a second performance in Cesena, and in 2017, 1,200 musicians (vocalists, guitarists, drummers, etc.) played near Mont Blanc. This year, over 1,000 musicians will play at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence. Courtney Love is the special guest this year whose voice will unite with over 1,000 others to perform songs by Hole, and also 18 of the most exciting songs in the history of rock. The staff of Rockin’ 1000 will donate part of the concert’s proceeds to the community of San Patrignano. After the concert, there will be an after party in the Beer Garden Camp.
There are four groups of tickets; curva, tribuna parterre, tribuna superiore and tribuna centrale superiore. Prices are € 23, € 33, € 39 and € 43 (with presale rights). It’s possible to purchase tickets on the websites www.mailticket.it and www.ticketone.it. The stadium is reachable by taking a bus or by ATAF bus lines 10, 17 and 20.
