Plan
The tour of Castel del Monte will depart at:
- 10 am (all the year)
- 3 pm (winter from 1st oct to 30th apr)
- 6 pm sunset tour (from 1st may to 30th september)
The guided tour of Castel del Monte will depart from Parking CAT.
With a shuttle we will reach Castel del Monte, the only octagonal monument made of local limestone. This castle has been the subject of studies over the years about its real use and still today fascinates visitors. Castel del Monte symbolically represents the power of its Emperor (Frederick II of Swabia) and certainly played a territorial control role.
The itinerary is also inside the castle. We will visit the octagonal curtains, the 8 rooms on each floor, the spiral staircases and the eight octagonal towers.
The guided tour will last approximately 1h 30min.
