The Hot Air Balloon Festival floats over to Florence for two weekends of fun.

The great festival dedicated to the air giants takes place at the Visarno Race-course, a few steps from the city centre and the cathedral, on the weekends of October 13-14th and of 20-21st.

Hot air balloons will paint the skies of Florence as they glide over the spectacular Tuscan countryside.

It’s a one-of-a-kind event for the Tuscan capital city. During the days of the event, it will be possible to experience the excitement of anchored flights. Hot air balloons anchored to the ground with special ropes will rise up about twenty metres and allow you to enjoy a breathtaking view for a very affordable price.

All day long it will be possible to enter inside two hot air balloons lying on the ground, to watch the shows of “Explore the hot air balloon“: the staff will tell wonderful stories that will create a magic atmosphere.

There will also be educational and recreational workshops for the kids, such as “The kite festival”, dedicated to children. In fact, after having made and painted their own kite, they will be able to fly it in the sky.

For those who want to extend their stay at the Festival, after sunset, around 6.30 PM, there will be an exciting night show with hot air balloons being lit to music, which will create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Ticket price: adult €8 – reduced tickets can be downloaded from the website for 6€ – €4 for children up to 12 years old – free of charge up to 1.50 cm of height.
The minimum age to fly is 2 years.
