olbia-international-food-festivalSardinian tradition meets international cuisine and the party begins! It’s the perfect recipe with dishes from all around the world in the magical, folkloristic Sardinian atmosphere. A celebration of uniting vast different cultures with one common passion: delicious food.

After its huge success last year, the event returns to the city of Olbia summoning tourists from all over the world from June 20 through 23, 2019.

This event, rooted in tradition, will satisfy everyone’s tastebuds and anyone who wants to explore the rich, ancient, and beautiful culture of Sardinia. In the meantime, you will be able to enjoy glimpses of life and tradition from all around Italy and beyond. On this beautiful occasion, the whole world blends together.

Food trucks and stands from everywhere, with wine and handcrafted beer, will be the guests of the event. National and international cuisine, accompanied by music, entertainment and folk dancing. Further enriching the atmosphere, handicraft stands will tell the story of the art and culture of the island and its people as only art can do.

I have amazing memories of many town fairs and feasts I have taken part in during my life. I remember the smell of fish, meat, sweets, mixed with the scent of the sea and fused together in the air full of voices, singing and laughs. I remember the exhibitors’ smiles, the musicians’ passion, the dancers’ amused faces and the thrilling music; but this time, new voices and new smells, coming from distant countries are eager to contribute to the joyful mood and to become part of my new memories.

Whether travelling with children, friends, or alone, the festival and the seaside will be able to satisfy every demand. It will be an amazing occasion to taste something new, meet new people with whom you could share experiences and tales, or even just spend a pleasant day listening to music and tasting delicious dishes.

olbia-pittulongu-international-food-festivalWhile in the area, I strongly recommend you visit the incredible Pittulongu and Porto Istana beaches which are only a few kilometers  from the city centre. Interesting archaeological sites such as Tomba dei Giganti di Su Monte’e s’Abe and Pozzo sacro di Sa Testa are also nearby and worth a visit.

Olbia awaits you!
