In northern Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region, the International Dolomite Snow Festival returns. Visitors will feel like they are in a magical ice kingdom as they experience these amazing snow sculptures!
The Festival
Every year during the month of January, the famous snow-themed festival is held in the towns of San Candido and San Vigilio di Marebbe. The snow sculptures are built in about three days by ten teams whose tools are nothing more than saws, barbed wire, palettes, and water. Visitors will not believe their eyes when they see what can be created by such simplistic means. Their imagination, craftsmanship, and sheer talent will surely leave you speechless.
The artists have come from all over the world to create their snowy masterpieces which will be on display until spring (weather permitting). Fully equipped to withstand the cold temperatures of the Dolomites, these magnificent creations will be on display for all to enjoy.
