The Hotel
The accommodation is located in Posto Vecchio, a stone’s throw from the sea, between the Torre Vado and Pescoluse marinas.
You’ll enjoy panoramic views of the marina, the sea and the landscape with its olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. The beach with its fine, golden sand is just 350 meters away and the crystal clear water stretches on for kilometers.
You’ll be in close proximity to some of the most popular locations in Salento- known as the “Italian Maldives”– such as Santa Maria di Leuca, Pesculose, Gallipoli and Torre Vado. Salento is not only known for its spectacular sea, but also for its food and art.
The rooms, available for single couples or the whole family, are furnished with all the comforts to make your stay relaxing and carefree.
What to Do and See
There are countless things to do and see in the month of July in Salento.
Pescoluse is one of the most beautiful destinations thanks to its spectacular beaches and sea. Its coastline is made up of long white sand trails with dunes that slope into the crystal clear, aquamarine waters that shimmer under the sun’s rays.
Along with its immense beauty, there is also history. You can visit the Masseria Borgino Tower dating back to the sixteenth century. The coastline is scattered with these towers whose function was to spot the Saracen pirates who settled the beaches of Salento in the 16th century.
You won’t want to miss the pajarus (huts) scattered throughout the area. Built with the same technique as the walls that surround the ancient olive groves, they are characteristic of Salento.
From Pescoluse, you can reach other very interesting destinations like the Zinzulusa Cave in the Castro area. The entire coastline is dotted with these unusual natural grottoes, but Zinzulusa is particularly captivating.
In Santa Cesarea Terme the caves are natural, thermal baths that can be visited by boat. In the Tricase area you’ll find the Grotta delle Tre Porte, which owes its name to the presence of three different outlets to the sea from a single cave as well as the Cala dell’Elefante.
