Leonardo was born in a small Tuscan village on April 15, 1542. In the municipality of Vinci, there are many things to see related to his life: the house in which he was born, just 3 kilometers from Vinci in the middle of the countryside; the church where he was baptized; the documentation center and the Castle of the Guidi Counts. Since 1953, the castle has housed the Leonardo museum with more than 300 works, inventions, and projects by the great artist.
The museum was built to transport you directly back to the fifteenth century for an unforgettable experience.
From the top of the Castello dei Conti Guidi, you will also enjoy a breathtaking view of the hills cultivated with vines and olive trees and the golden fields of wheat, classic landscapes of the Tuscan countryside that are found in Leonardo’s drawings and paintings.
The tour will have a total duration of about 3 hours.
