All about Piedmont

The Piedmont region is in northern Italy bordering France and Switzerland. Its name derives from Italian meaning “at the foot of the mountain” because it is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges. Numerous rivers flow into its many lakes such as Lake Maggiore.

Besides its beautiful natural landscapes, it also has art cities from Baroque to medieval villages, castles, and fortresses throughout the entire region.
