The small town of Chianni in the hills of Pisa has your summer of 2021 covered! Outdoor events ranging from live music to tasting and even free guided tours are on the calendar during the months of July and August.

Ongoing Events During the Months of July and August

Every Thursday evening at 8 pm you can enjoy an open-air market filled with all the typical products and delicacies of the area. Live music and a photography exhibit will also be part of the event. 

Every Monday morning you can enjoy a free guided tour of Chianni’s historic center and learn about its history as you wind through the delightful alleys.

The month of July has lots of music in store for the entire family with a special Circus band for kids on the 13th. Other evenings include traditional Irish music and dance and even blues, jazz, and soul.  

August also has lots of music and events in store for you including a festival in nearby Rivalto, the Festa Contadina!

In the Area

This area, known as the Alta Valdera, is known for its hiking, biking, horse trails, and unspoiled nature.  

You can also opt for a tasting tour along the Colline Pisane Wine Road!

Other nearby towns to visit include Lajatico and Andrea Bocelli’s Teatro del Silenzio as well as the hot springs and town of Casciana Terme.
