Along the Adriatic Coast in the Ancona province, the seaside city of Senigallia will be hosting its 20th annual Summer Jamboree! It’s a festival that pays homage to the great 1940’s and 50’s in America right here in Italy! The timeless music that forever left its mark on history; dances like swing, jive, boogie-woogie and hop; the drive-in movie and diner culture and the cars that will forever be classics- it truly was an incredible time in America.
The festival will play host to around 46 free concerts, and DJs will be playing music every day from 12 pm (on the beach) until late (around 4 am). Once again, there will also be a BIG HAWAIIAN PARTY on Senigallia’s Velvet Beach with guest stars Los Lobos (15 euro ticket price). In addition, there will be after-parties at the Rotonda al Mare and a BURLESQUE SHOW at the Fenice Theatre.
Every day from 5pm, the Rockin’ Village will come to life with the largest VINTAGE MARKET of modern antiques and ’40s & ’50s memorabilia, complete with top-quality street food, Cajun & Tex Mex Diner, vintage style hairdressers and old fashioned barbers. Not to mention the vintage car parade, and 8 days of Dance Camp running from 3-10 August.
This year’s festival will also include “no appointment necessary” tattoo artists and a full immersion photography exhibition highlighting the “golden era”.
After 19 years of success, the organizers continue to streamline Summer Jamboree offering a downloadable app and a shuttle service as well.
