Roccamandolfi is a small town located in the mountains of Matese at the foot of the ruins of a castle of Lombard origin and is the ideal place for those who want to spend moments of leisure in contact with nature.

Nature and trekking enthusiasts can embark on an intriguing and evocative route that starts from the Longobard castle and climbs uphill on mountain paths, through woods and streams, and arrives at the adrenaline-seekers Tibetan Bridge. The bridge is a small engineering masterpiece of metallic carpentry suspended in the void of the rocky landscape of the canyon carved out by the Callora River. The more adventurous can experience the thrill of emptiness by walking at high altitudes surrounded by rocky walls.

For those who love history, we recommend a visit to the characteristic village of Roccamandolfi, also known as the “village of the brigands”. Among its narrow, winding streets and small stone houses stands the Baroque church of San Giacomo Maggiore which contains the relics of San Liberato and a fine wooden sculpture by the artist Di Zinno.
