Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is fascinating in any season but during the Christmas and New Year holidays, it becomes truly magical. Every year the city reinvents itself with the latest generation of light installations and for some years now, it has been called the Green Line Festival. In addition, there are various Christmas markets which will take place in the city center and on the outskirts. This year, the Cascine park is where you will find the huge Ferris wheel and the ice skating rink.

Green Line Light Festival

The festival promoted by the Municipality of Florence with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Metropolitan City of Florence and Tuscan Initiatives and organized by MUS.E, begins on 8 December and lasts until 7 January 2024.
The theme of the 2023/2024 edition is “The Winter Garden” and there will be many installations and video projections from the historic center to the outskirts that will illuminate some of the city’s most famous buildings and monuments such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Palazzo Vecchio.
