vintage-carraresi-trevisoTen thousand visitors in two years and a third edition that promises to be even more interesting: the Vintage ai Carraresi or the Vintage Festival in the Carraresi in the northern city of Treviso. The first, and still unique, professional exhibition-market dedicated to vintage and modern, which will take place inside the historic building overlooking the Pescheria di Treviso, from which it takes its name: Ca ‘dei Carraresi.

The third edition of the festival dedicated to authentic vintage will be from September 14-16th. The festival kicks off the program of autumn events in the city attracting visitors from all over the region. It’s an event that, born out of pure passion, has become a real epicenter for the passionate, the curious, collectors, fashion victims, and style and design lovers alike.

Vintage ai Carraresi proposes itself as a full immersion experience into the fashion and imagination of the last century as told through clothing, accessories, and furnishings up to the 80s. It is clear as to how many distinctive elements of those unrepeatable years continue to influence our present.

carraresi-vintage-trevisoThe over thirty exhibitors present that will occupy the entire building of Ca ‘dei Carraresi are the result of a careful selection from the most prestigious in Italy, with the inclusion of the most qualified companies in the Treviso area. The festival will once again expand throughout the building given the great influx of past years.

This year’s show-event will be remarkable. The passion and professionalism of Fernanda Li Volsi, creator and organizer of the event and owner of Officine Li Volsi, a Vintage Laboratory based in Treviso (Via Tommaso Salsa, 6), means that this year there will be an altogether exceptional guest, linked to the territory, but of international scope.

treviso-carraresi-vintageAfter the previous contributions of Mario Borsato (“MB is Back!”) and the Footwear Museum collection from Villa Foscarini Rossi (“Shoes – 100 icons”), Vic Caserta will bring his special contribution this year with a staging that will reveal his professional and artistic path enriched by a selection of garments from his prestigious collection. In fact, this well-known consultant of the most famous designer labels as well as fashion designer and vintage collector from Treviso, with his collection of over 60,000 items dating from the late 1800s and the first half of the last century, created a veritable “encyclopaedia” of vintage, whose “pieces” have inspired fashion designers such as John Galliano and Jeremy Scott and collections of important companies such as Replay and Belstaff.

So, in mid-September, there will be an edition of Vintage ai Carraresi, which for three days aims to give back life and value to the authentic pieces that have shaped the history of both our appearance and our being.
